    Programs for Genetic Applications (PhysGen)

The Goals (Bioinformatics Component):

The goal of the Bioinformatics Component is to maintain database and data analysis services for all aspects of the program. In addition, the Bioinformatics Component will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of interfaces for public access to all program results. Also, Bioinformatics Program will conduct the Microarray experiment design and image/data processing research with TIGR.

Collaboration:

Human Molecular Genetic Research Center (HMGC, MCW)

Research Resource:

  • Hardware: Sun 250 (dolphin) for development, Sun 450 (tarzan) for product.
  • Software: Oracle 8i; Apache 1.26; Tom-Cat 1.1 (for Java servelet and JSP); Perl 5.006; JDK1.2/1.3.
