The Systems Management team is responsible for the technical and framework management of the systems run by the Bioinformatics Center. Technical management ranges from hardware items (such as new systems deployment or repair) to software items (operating system deployment, updates, security, patches). Framework management is defined as the management and deployment of multiple databases (primarily Oracle), as well as the web-based infrastructure required to run our applications (Web page management via Apache and/or IIS) as well as application foundation products such as PHP and Java. In all aspects, this team strives for the performance, security, and stability of our systems and applications.
